June Holiday Officially Starts…
6days of holidays I have enjoyed so far… Haven do a lot of studying yet. Had a time table of what I am suppose to study everyday but I am far far behind time.. Compared to 2years ago during my O years I am really a failure siaz… I completed my revision 1weeks before hand the last time… No self-discipline too lazy you name them all…
Monday I went fishing with my uncle on his boat with one of his friends. We met at around 8am before going to Puggol where some boat car park thing exists there… The place is so cool, all the different sizes and kinds of boats… Then my uncle small boat float pathetically by the walkway amongst all the bigger sized boat. But still my uncle boat kinda cool, perfect for fishing although at most can carry 8normal people but only 3fishermen as the latter need more spaces to fish.
My uncle friend then drove us towards our destination – somemore sea space for reclamation. Before that we stopped at a local kelong to buy some live prawns and during the journey I saw many familiar places. Do you know that Puggol Beach, Elias Beach, Pasir Ris Beach and Changi Beach in lined together by the shore?
The ride was not smooth and the boat went up and down non-stop in turn hurting my butt siaz. We stopped a this place where there were a lot of long long walls spreading across the sea for the reclamation project. My uncle told me that there are more fish there somehow compared to the other places. I figured it out, it is much safer having the wall around us as they serve to stop the wave and tights hence the boat would not sway so much.
There was only one thing about the place… It is illegal to fish there and at risk of getting caught by the numerous patrol boats. So you can guess how my uncle and his friend fished. One eye on the rod, another trying to peer behind the wall to determine whether the approaching boat is one of those patrol boats. Characteristic of the boat is that it has a very loud but weak engine so we can hear it from miles away and managed to outrun the boat. Laughing out LOUD.
My uncle and his friend were quite lucky to catch 5 and 2fishes repectively in the first 2hours leaving me with none. I have an excuse: although I am a pro fisherman, I usually fish in pond and kelong never once on a boat that is moving continuously. So it was my first time on a boat fishing.
Then my uncle had this chance to in getting this fish which we estimated to be at least 4kg but managed to escape with the help of the boat. The fish swam towards the propeller of the boat which is rather sharp hence cutting the fishing line. Damn wasted. Soon after it he caught a squid.
After like 4hours of wait I managed to catch 2fish in back to back but like only 500g each. My damn lucky uncle then caught this 1kg fish that kept jumping out of the water. The scene was so funny, seeing a fish jumping in and out non-stop. But it was not much of a kick since it is rather weak and it does not taste nice.
My uncle friend then caught 3more fish at the same spot. So I tried my luck at the spot and managed to get 2myself. First one about 400g second 1.4kg… The second fish was a strong one. It never gives up, it swam at the opposite direction. But sad to say having a fisherman like me, its fate is to end up on a dinner table… The fish that I caught was the biggest catch of the day between the three of us.
Quite luck. Beginner luck accompanied by experiences and skills. There is a picture taken of the fish I caught, it is a beauty. Could have taken some pictures on the boat but camera ran out of batteries.
If next Monday I got nothing to do I will again accompany them to fish. This time I make sure I will take pictures of the scene there.
Tuesday Wednesday and today all spent at home watching tv and sleeping and going out with friends, never once laid my hand on the lectures notes laid nicely beside my bed.
Next Monday, QL Timo Mer Jas and me most likely are going to jurong to swim as there has very good facilities… More to be asked along. So if you are interested tell me so we can meet and arranged.
I also receive a call from the newspaper to inform me that I have won pair of tickets to OMEN the movie which is gonna open on 6june2006 and me and another person will have the privilege to watch the movie on 3june at shaw centre at beach road which I dunnoe where isit… Though of asking timothy along since the last time he offered me to watch ice age2. But omen is a remake horror movie, asking a guy a long is so gay that why I still thinking which girl should I ask… Lisa, Mona, Jane, Mary, Dani, Tammy or …?
