Yesterday went to the CSI: Singapore and it was so much fun... On the train to Novena met Joseph and Walter... The CSI team made up of me Joseph Walter Zilun Sherman and Kai Lin...

When reached Novena Mrt Station, saw a lot of JCs but no sights of MJC... Mjc did not join the competition... They all wasted this chance to enjoy themselves...

Got ‘transported’ to Police Academy and it was my second time there, first time being the Rugby Final which ACJC thrashed Raffles JC 23-0...

They had some talks and presentations which were very very interesting... We got our equipments needed for the crime scenes and we got hands-on... Got to play around with the stuffs and dusting for fingerprints... Quite cool...

Den we had our first round of competition which was Indoor : Scene A... We were supposed to implement what we had just learnt on the scene... Quite challenging as it was our first time... The crime scene was a house... One by one we entered the room, discussing the possibilities of what happened and what to be collected... Went to the toilet first, and pointed a few stuffs to collect like a pair of slippers, a towel and toothbrush and paste... I pointed out to my members that there a urine in the toilet bowl and we could use it to test for DNA or drug but they though I was joking...

I was the first one who entered the bedroom, noticed that the right side of the room has fan on but light on but the left side vice versa... Very suspicious... On the floor of the right side of them bedroom laid numerous evidences like cigarettes, white powder, straws of powder, empty beer can, spoon, aluminum foil and many other... We started really working on the scene... Some went to look for fingerprints on objects like tap, switches and beer can...Some recording what we have seen while... Other using tape to tape a box around the evidence..

I was doing that and it may sound easy but actually very difficult... When using the smaller masking tape, it was not sticky enough to be paste on the floor... On the other hand when using the bigger masking tape, it was too sticky and my gloves got stuck to it every times.. When I pulled the tape too hard, my gloves will have holes hence just pasting alone i changed my gloves a few times... We started packing our evidences after labeling them..

There was a few pieces of torn newspaper in the cabinet which overlooked it... The judge asked me if there were things in the paper, i was shit... Opening the paper, i saw two packets of white powder... Then i told the judge that i found it long time ago and only going to collected the powder after doing some stuff to the paper... After collecting everything, we were told that we had about 15minutes left to pack up and leave the scene... After the time was up, the judge told us something important we have left out only to overheard form other groups tht it was a wallet hidden behind the cabinet... It was very important as it was linked to the second scene... Haiz...

We had lunch after that which was quite nice... Before that we had some walkabout and learn thingy stuffs.. Got to know a lot of gadgets, cool gadgets they used in the scene... We also made bookmarks with our fingerprints... I got two of them by the way.. ANYONE WANTS IT???

The second crime scene was a car and we were told that there were no need for finger-checking and worries about contamination, preservation of the scene... Meaning that we could ransack the car... The objective of the car was to look for objects hidden... Me being the skinniest, wore the one-piece white suit... The white suit is the one that people always wear to kill ill chicken in Malaysia to prevent themselves from being infected... However it backfired as my head was to big to go into the underside of the car... And there were many things hidden below... We had everything that we needed except those under the car...

20minutes passed and CJC was the first one completed... i was still trying to squeeze myself in while digging for stuffs... Zilun managed to find one packet of white powder and the second soon after.. Me finally got the third packet... 40mintues passed and most JCs completed... Zilun metrically managed to find 3tablets hidden on the underside of the car and we completed...

It was all my fault as it was supposed to be my job and i only managed to find 1 out of four... Shame on me sia... Trapped in the white suit with shirt and a jean inside, i was sweating like a dunnoe what sia... And we were sitting now talking about the evidences, we took out our gloves and it was filled with sweat... Sherman’s gloves were the worst as it looked as if he had poured water inside the gloves...

We were drove back to the hall where we had our discussions... We came out with a story and started writing down... We didn’t complete writing our the things, and the most important which is the evaluation of evidences we didn’t do... Damn it... Knowing that we were virtually impossible in getting the top three, we started betting on who will win...

At the lecture hall them showed us the video for the story of the crime scene... Guessed what we got the story CORRECTLY... We could have won if we had enough time to write down and provided we write the right things.. Damn...

We had a presentation by a guy after that and was about solving crime... Very interesting and I get to learn a lot... Prize presentation followed... SAJC third PJC second and CJC first... None of the top 3 are from the top few schools... Sia la so insulting...

We should have won it.. We should have won it.. We should have won it... Wasted sia... So envy when CJC ppl got to get hold of the prize... Should have won it... DAMN...
